West Division Star of the Week: Blake Phenow, forward, Granite City Lumberjacks

One of only four undefeated teams remaining in the NA3HL, the Granite City Lumberjacks continued their hot start with two more wins last weekend. On Friday, in a 4-0 road win in Twin City, forward Blake Phenow (5’11/190) had a goal. On Saturday, the local Sauk Rapids, MN native had a hat-trick and an assist in a 7-0 at Minnesota against the Flying Aces. He was also +2 on the weekend. In five games so far this season, Phenow leads the Lumberjacks in goals with five and is tied for 3rd in scoring. “Blake had a great weekend. Most of his points came from hard work. He was recently voted as an assistant captain, so his teammates think a lot of him. He is a local guy, so nice to see those type of players have success with us,” said Granite City head coach Brad Willner.
