Granite City downs Breezy Point, 5-0

Lucas Carroll had two points to lead Granite City to a 5-0 victory over Breezy Point.

Granite City stifled Breezy Point\’s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team\’s forwards weren\’t the only contributers offensively, and the team\’s defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Granite City additionally got points from Adam Marty, who also registered one goal and one assist. Granite City also got a goal from Tyler Mros as well. In addition, Granite City received assists from Spencer Nelson, who had two and Trevor Cornelious, Casey Esselman, Matt Moran, Logan Neu, Tommy Giller, and Will Mix, who contributed one each.

Breezy Point\’s offense was handcuffed by Granite City\’s defensive play, and Breezy Point managed only 13 shots on goal during the game.

Mac Berglove rejected 13 shots on goal for Granite City. Granite City incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Breezy Point\’s starting goalie, Magnus Lindhe, made 18 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Wes Paupore, who stopped six shots. Breezy Point incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
