North Iowa uses shootout to best Granite City, 4-3 (3-1 SO)

The two teams needed eight turns to complete the shootout. Granite City's lone shootout goal was scored by Aaron Storch.

The Bulls came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. North Iowa was down 3-2 after a goal by the Lumberjacks' Aidan Verbeke at 8:00 in the third period. The Bulls knotted things up at 3-3 on a power play goal at 11:51 in the third period.

The Lumberjacks were led by Storch, who had two goals. Storch scored the first of his two goals at 10:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Tim Brown and Zac Sikich provided the assists. Storch's next tally made the score 2-2 with 13:58 left in the third period.  Zac Sikich picked up his second assist on the tally. Other players who recorded assists for Granite City were Eric Miller and Blayne Ellson, who contributed one a piece.

Murray recorded 31 saves for the Lumberjacks.

The shootout featured 10 attempts between both teams. Granite City's only shootout goal was scored by Hunter Schneider.

Granite City was helped by Schneider, who registered one goal. Schneider scored 4:05 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Aaron Storch assisted on the tally. Granite City also got a goal from Eric Miller and Matt Petersen as well. Other players who recorded assists for Granite City were Isaac Hoagland, Alex Koopmeiners, Mitchell Gwost, and Drew Otto, who contributed one a piece.

Austin Wilson made 11 saves before being replaced by Scott Murray, who made 13 saves.
