Granite City and Twin Cities are scheduled to begin their semifinal match-up at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 12 in St. Cloud. The Northern Lights will host Game 2 at 7 p.m. Saturday March 13 at Wakota Arena in South St. Paul. If a Game 3 is needed, the Lumberjacks would host at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14.

After an entertaining and emotional season, the Lumberjacks saw their first trip to Nationals come to a close on Monday afternoon to the New Hampshire Monarchs. The back-to-back defending National Champion Monarchs would score 4 unanswered goals in the second period to take the lead and the victory 4-2.

The Granite City Lumberjacks used a 6-5 OT thriller to capture the wild card slot and the opportunity to continue a push towards a National Championship. The 'Jacks had to battle back several times in the game to force OT. The Lumberjacks will now play the Defending National Champion New Hampshire Monarchs tomorrow (03/30) at 11:00 central time.

The Granite City Lumberjacks defeat the Seattle Totems 3-2 to capture their first ever Nationals victory behind #24 Fred Bidinger's game-winner at the 18:07 mark. #04 Ryan Gauthier and #05 Matt Johnson also score goals in the win.

Both the Granite City Lumberjacks and the Minnesota Ice Hawks will represent the MJHL at Nationals next week beginning on Friday afternoon.

The Granite City Lumberjacks used 3 power play goals and an even strength overtime goal to defeat the Wisconsin Mustangs 4-3 on Sunday afternoon. The win propels the Lumberjacks to the Championship Round this upcoming week against the winner of the Minnesota Ice Hawks/Minnesota Owls series.

The Granite City Lumberjacks lose a tough one on the road to the Wisconsin Mustangs by a 1-0 score. The best of 3 series is all knoted at one apiece with the final deciding game to come this Sunday at 1 p.m. at the MAC.

#30 Justin Lochner came up huge for the Lumberjacks on Wednesday night with 33 saves on 34 shots. The Mustangs were only able to slip one past Lochner and only after the Lumberjacks had built a 6-0 lead. The final score would read 6-1 and the Lumberjacks would take game 1 in the best of 3 series.

The league has announced that Forwards #18 Tyler Wahl and #19 Alex Naujokas, Defenseman #34 Steve Mlodozyniec, and Goalie #30 Justin Lochner have all been named to the All-MJHL team for the 2008-2009 season.
