North Iowa beats Granite City 3-0 as Johnson gains shutout

David Johnson recorded a shutout against Granite City as North Iowa picked up a 3-0 win.

North Iowa was led by Austin Jackson, who grabbed one goal. Jackson scored 13:08 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North Iowa. Brett Gravelle picked up the assist.

North Iowa put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Granite City to score on any of its three power plays. North Iowa could not produce up to its normal offensive output. North Iowa averages 5.8 goals per game.
