The Lumberjacks defeat the Junior Senators 3-2

The Granite City Lumberjacks' offense had a big night, peppering the Binghamton Junior Senators with 34 shots throughout the game. The Granite City Lumberjacks took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Cole Buhl.

Andrej Jamnicky contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Dominik Bogdziul did his part, adding 2 assists.

In the first, Jamnicky opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with a goal at 19:50 with a helper from his teammate Sikich.

In the second period, Moran deposited a goal at 1:00 with a helper from his linemate Altena. Landrigan quickly followed with a goal at 2:39 with an assist from Bogdziul. Buhl answered for Granite City with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:53 with helpers from Jamnicky and Esselman.

In the third, Uravage answered for Binghamton with a goal at 11:03 with assists from his linemates, Bogdziul and Reifler.

The Lumberjacks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Berglove’s big night as he stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced. Berglove’s counterpart, Lauretta, also had a big night, managing to stop 31 of 34, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (40-10-5-2).
