The Lumberjacks fall to the Steel 3-2

The Granite City Lumberjacks' defense had a poor night, allowing the New Ulm Steel 30 shots throughout the game. The New Ulm Steel took the lead late in the third on a goal from Jarrett Cammarata.

In the first period, Nagel opened the scoring for the Steel with a goal at 8:28 with a helper from his teammate Coppock. Bissett answered for Granite City with a goal at 16:52 with assists from his linemates, Moran and Dibari.

During the third, Baker netted a goal at 4:14 with a helper from his defensive partner, Salz. Storlie answered for New Ulm with a goal at 14:34 with assists from Wieben and Hoeschen. Cammarata quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:07 with a helper from Parks.

This loss brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (24-12-0-0).
