Andrew Kormos posted a shutout, stopping all 31 of the Granite City Lumberjacks shots throughout the game. The Metro Jets took the lead early in the first on a goal from Mathias Tellstrom and never looked back.
During the first, Tellstrom opened the scoring for Metro with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 3:25 with a helper from his teammate Inger. Distelrath quickly followed with a goal at 5:13 with assists from Flannery and Sereno.
In the second period, Winch netted a goal at 15:49 with helpers from Newel and Schwartz.
This loss brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (36-11-5-2)
