3 Lumberjacks Called Up To NAHL

The Granite City Lumberjacks, proud members of the NA3HL, located in Sauk Rapids, MN announce that three players this week have been called up to play for 2 different NAHL teams.

Tal Halliday, ‘01 from Roseau, MN has played 17 games for the Lumberjacks scoring 2 goals and 9 assists and is a +15.  Tal joined up with the Minot Minotauros of the NAHL located in Minot, North Dakota. Tal has already played in 3 games for Minot with 1 assist and is a +1.  Tal started this season with the St. Cloud Blizzard of the NAHL playing in 3 games and was a +1.

Cameron Lantz, ’01 from Coleraine, MN has played 18 games for the Lumberjacks scoring 2 goals and 9 assists and is a +18.  Cameron will begin his 2nd callup with the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL located in Cloquet, MN this season. Lantz began this season with the Wilderness playing in 7 games before coming to Granite City.

Bailey Huber, ’01 from Mahtomedi, MN has started 15 games in goal for Granite City boasting an 11-4 record including 4 shutouts and has a 1.86 GAA with a .920 save %. This will mark Huber’s first time playing at the next level for the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL located in Cloquet, MN.

These three players will ironically see each other this weekend as Minot hosts Minnesota.

This adds to Granite City’s success this season advancing players to the next level. A few weeks ago, Daymin Dodge (’00) from Rice, MN was called up to play for Kenai River of the NAHL for the remainder of the season.

Lumberjacks assistant coach Mat Hall stated that “We are very excited for our hard-working players to get an opportunity at the NAHL level. We are very fortunate to have a great working partnership with the NAHL and all the coaching staffs.”
