Jacks melt Steel with a 4-1 win

The Granite City Lumberjacks were firing on all cylinders against the Twin City Steel, and when the final buzzer sounded Lumberjacks emerged with a 4-1 win.

TJ Christenson had two goals to lead Granite City to victory. Christenson's tallies came at 1:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Granite City and on the power play 8:53 into the second to make the score 2-0 Granite City.

 

Granite City stifled Twin City's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.  Granite City also got points from Zac Sikich, who had one goal and one assist. Granite City got a goal from DJ Vold as well. In addition, Granite City received assists from Matt Raiola and Nick LaRue, who each chipped in one and Jake Peterson and Peter Lindblad, who contributed two each.

 Matt Grove recorded 22 saves for the Lumberjacks.
