The Granite City Lumberjacks' Aidan Verbeke had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 5-2 win over the Breezy Point North Stars.
Verbeke (Gwost) found the back of the net 4:52 into the second period. Entering the zone he cut across the slot and fired a wrist shot to make the score 1-1. Verbeke (Horsmann) scored again on a short-handed break-away 9:46 into the second to make the score 2-1 Granite City.
Zac Sikich (Storch, Voss), Christian Mohs (Richardson, Schneider) and Travis Kothenbeutel (Verbeke) also scored for Granite City. More assists for Granite City came via Zach Voss, Luc Richardson, Mitchell Gwost, Hunter Schneider, David Horsmann, and Aaron Storch, who each chipped in one.
Austin Wilson recorded 13 saves for Granite City. Granite City outshot the North stars 39 to 15.

The Alexandria Blizzard went 3-6 on the power play en route to a 6-3 win over the Granite City Lumberjacks. Joe Anderson was all over the ice for Alexandria, as he grabbed four goals in the win.
Granite City was led by Brett Love, who had one goal and one assist. Love (Sikich, Verbeke) scored on the power play 14:18 into the third period to make the score 5-2 Alexandria. Granite City also got goals from Zach Voss (Porter, Warren) and Travis Kothenbeutel (Love) as well. Granite City received assists from Billy Warren, Zac Sikich, Aidan Verbeke, and Gavin Porter, who each chipped in one.
Scott Murray rejected 22 shots on goal for Granite City. The Blizzard were unable to stop Granite City from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lumberjacks eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.
