Granite City evens the score with a great passing play from Peter Linblad to TJ Christenson to Aaron Azevedo for the goal.  The Bulls pull ahead again to end the first period.  The Bulls score the only goal of the second period and take a 3-1 lead into the third.  The score remains 3-1 until 5 minutes left in the third and then Granite City erupted for 3 powerplay goals in just under a 3 minute span.  Blayne Ellson started the scoring with a blast from the point.  Assists went to Nick Zierden and DJ Vold.  Taylor Portner netted the next two with assists to TJ Christenson, Lindblad, Ellson and Nick LaRue.  The Jacks were able to hold off the Bulls with an extra attacker and secure the victory.  Matt Grove made 12 saves for the win.

Saturday – 4-3 Loss – North Iowa struck first with a power play goal halfway through the first.  The Lumberjacks evened it up with a power play goal of their own when DJ Vold batted a rebound out of mid air into the back of the net.  Assisting on the goal were Tylor Portner and Aaron Azevedo. The Jacks score 2 more goals in the second to jump to a 3-1 lead before giving up a late shorthanded goal off a turnover in the defensive zone.  Scoring the second period goals were Portner from Vold and Tyler Stoller from Portner and Vold.   The third period was all North Iowa as they score another shorthanded goal and added a powerplay goal to take the lead.  The Lumberjacks pulled Grant Holler (21 saves) for the extra attacker but couldn't get the chances to even it up.
