Minnesota 1 @ Granite City 9 – Kullan Daikawa had a hat-trick to lead Granite City to a 9-1 win over the Loons. It was all Lumberjacks from the drop of the puck as they led 2-0 after the 1st period on goals from Daikawa and Zak Kennett. Daikawa added two more goals in the 2nd period and Tal Halliday and Bjorn Jorgenson also scored to make it 6-0. AJ Schemenauer, Cory Warner, and Nick Mountain all scored in the 3rd period to make it a 9-0 game. Kyle Couture would score the lone Loons goal, which came on the power play midway through the 3rd period. Lumberjacks goalie Quentin Sigurdson made 10 saves in the win, while Matthew Ryynanen made 57 saves in the loss.
Granite City 9 @ Minnesota 0 – The Lumberjacks dominated from start to finish as they picked up a weekend sweep of the Loons thanks to a 9-0 shutout on Saturday. Nine different players scored in the win for Granite City and Matt Smith made 8 saves in the shutout. Ben Anderson and Kullan Daikawa scored in the 1st period. Tal Halliday, Kyle Mortenson, Matthew DeLany, Tucker Skime, and AJ Schemenauer added 2nd period goals and Andrew Butler and Nolan Widman scored in the 3rd period. Owen Reeve made 86 saves in the loss.
