Lumberjacks Help Tanner’s Team Foundation

Oct 5, 2012

Granite City Lumberjacks held a garage sale on September 22nd to help raise funds for Tanner's Team Foundation.  The Tanner's Team Foundation was created in 2011 to help families with children who are fighting a life-threatening illness or serious injury. Tanner Fuls, who was diagnosed at age 11 with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), a form of pre-leukemia, passed away November 27, 2010.

The Tanner’s Team Foundation’s mission is to carry on a legacy inspired by Tanner, a boy who taught us how to live, laugh, and listen. They help families in central Minnesota cover housing, transportation, and household expenses incurred during their child's care and treatment. Monthly living expenses continue to mount even though parents often have to put their jobs on hold. Families experience despair and worry about carrying on day-to-day operations that seem meaningless next to the new battle they are facing.  Tanner's Team Foundation works to ease some of these burdens.
