The Lumberjacks crushed the Blizzard 4-1

The Granite City Lumberjacks' offense had a big night, peppering the Alexandria Blizzard with 29 shots throughout the game. The Granite City Lumberjacks took the lead early in the third on a goal from Logan Neu.

During the second, Sikich opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with a goal at 9:05 with a helper from Altena.

In the third, Brett finally put Alexandria on the board with a goal at 1:05 with assists from his linemates, Brenden and Jack. Neu quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 2:07 with helpers from Deboom and Salz. Schwehr scored a goal at 4:36 with assists from Pearson and Baker. Troumbly deposited a goal at 13:42 with a helper from his linemate Moran.

The Lumberjacks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Mulligan as he stopped 23 of the 24 shots he faced. Mulligan’s counterpart, Brady, also had a big night, managing to stop 25 of 29, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (3-0-0-0).
