The Lumberjacks crushed the North Stars 5-1

The Granite City Lumberjacks' offense had a big night, peppering the Breezy Point North Stars with 42 shots throughout the game. The Granite City Lumberjacks took the lead late in the first on a goal from Braden Altena and never looked back.

Braden Altena chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jordan Olson did his part, adding 2 assists.

In the first period, Baker opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with a goal at 11:58 with helpers from Altena and Salz. Altena deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 19:59 with helpers from teammates Sikich and Olson.

In the second, Beyer netted a goal at 1:29 with an assist from his defensive partner, Olson. Dibari scored a goal at 9:45.

In the third, Krueger finally put the North Stars on the board with a goal at 18:26 with assists from Fladebo and Montague. Towers quickly followed with a goal at 19:24 with helpers from his linemates, Troumbly and Deboom.

Granite City’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Gerads as he stopped 16 of the 17 shots he faced. Gerads’ counterpart, Moore, also had a big night, managing to stop 37 of 42, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (16-7-0-0).
