The Lumberjacks crushed the North Stars 5-1

The Granite City Lumberjacks' offense had a big night, peppering the Breezy Point North Stars with 44 shots throughout the game. The Granite City Lumberjacks took the lead early in the second on a goal from Sean Salz.

Grant Troumbly did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Matt Moran delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first, Bissett opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with a goal at 18:32 with helpers from his linemates, Moran and Troumbly.

In the second period, Salz deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:53 with helpers from his teammates Altena and Dahl. Troumbly netted a goal at 3:52 with an assist from Deboom. Buhl scored a goal at 15:19 with helpers from Moran and Schwehr. Gadbois finally put Breezy Point on the board with a goal at 18:41 with an assist from Gibson.

During the third, Moran answered for the Lumberjacks with a goal at 9:10 with helpers from Baker and Schwehr.

Granite City’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Mulligan as he stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced. Mulligan’s counterpart, Ehrlich, also had a big night, managing to stop 39 of 44, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (31-14-0-0).
