The Lumberjacks crushed the WarHawks 4-1

The Granite City Lumberjacks' offense had a big night, peppering the Willmar WarHawks with 44 shots throughout the game. The Granite City Lumberjacks took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Brandon Bissett and never looked back.

Logan Neu delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Brady Dahl chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the first period, Neu opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with a goal at 1:31 with helpers from his teammates Olson and Nagle. Bissett deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:05 with a helper from Dahl.

During the second, Dahl put in a goal at 7:48 with assists from Neu and Salz. Cooper finally put the WarHawks on the board with a goal at 12:52 with a helper from defenseman Koester.

In the third, Deboom answered for the Lumberjacks with a goal at 5:20 with assists from Salz and Baker.

Granite City’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Gerads as he stopped 19 of the 20 shots he faced. Gerads’ counterpart, Fry, also had a big night, managing to stop 40 of 44, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (1-0-0-0).
