The Lumberjacks fall to the Blizzard 6-4

The Granite City Lumberjacks' defense had a poor night, allowing the Alexandria Blizzard 27 shots throughout the game. The Alexandria Blizzard took the lead late in the third on a goal from Matt Dahlseide.

Chase Dibari chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Cole Buhl did his part, adding 2 assists. Logan Nelson delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Matt Dahlseide contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

In the first period, Dibari opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with a goal at 0:28. Dahl deposited a goal at 3:33 with helpers from his teammates Bissett and Buhl. Baker put in a goal at 12:28 with helpers from Bissett and Buhl. Johnson finally put Alexandria on the board with a goal at 18:22 with assists from Dahlseide and Nelson.

During the second period, Altena answered for Granite City with a goal at 2:41 with an assist from fellow Lumberjacks forward Dibari. Payne answered for the Blizzard with a goal at 7:41 with helpers from his linemates, Dahlseide and Meister.

In the third, Payne netted a goal at 0:20 with a helper from Meister. Nelson put in a goal at 11:32 with assists from Skar and Payne. Dahlseide deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:36 with an assist from Behl. Payne quickly followed with a goal at 19:00 with helpers from Meister and Skar.

This loss brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (9-5-0-0).
