David Mulligan posted a shutout, stopping all 31 of the Breezy Point North Stars shots throughout the game. The Granite City Lumberjacks took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Brady Dahl and never looked back.
Brady Dahl had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Matt Moran delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first period, Dahl opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 5:56 with a helper from Castro.
During the second, Moran put in a goal at 2:56 with helpers from his linemates, Sommers and Dahl.
In the third, Neu deposited a goal at 16:04 with assists from his linemates, Bissett and Moran. Kaehler scored a goal at 19:32 with assists from teammates Castro and Baker.
The Lumberjacks’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Mulligan’s shutout, as he stopped all 31 of the shots he faced. Mulligan’s counterpart, Ehrlich, also had a big night, managing to stop 27 of 30, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (29-14-0-0).
