The Lumberjacks shutout the North Stars 5-0

The Granite City Lumberjacks' offense had a big night, peppering the Breezy Point North Stars with 41 shots throughout the game, to go along with Ridge Gerads' shutout. The Granite City Lumberjacks took the lead early in the second on a goal from Chase Dibari.

Ryan Pearson chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Bailey Sommers did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).

In the second period, Dibari opened the scoring for the Lumberjacks with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:44 with helpers from his linemates, Bissett and Neu. Pearson put in a goal at 7:21 with helpers from Hill and Bissett. Troumbly netted a goal at 17:42 with assists from Moran and Olson.

In the third period, Sommers scored a goal at 8:23 with assists from his teammates Beyer and Pearson. Pearson deposited a goal at 19:39 with helpers from Sommers and Baker.

Granite City’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Gerads’ shutout, as he stopped all 21 of the shots he faced. Gerads’ counterpart, Ehrlich, also had a big night, managing to stop 36 of 41, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Granite City Lumberjacks’ record to (4-0-0-0).
